Tim McCanlies - Director

In 1998, Tim McCanlies made his directorial debut on his script, DANCER, TEXAS POP. 81. His screenplay for the critically lauded 1999 animated film, THE IRON GIANT, earned Tim and director Brad Bird an Annie, BAFTA Children's Award and a Nebula Award. Tim's feature film screenwriting credits include DENNIS THE MENACE STRIKES AGAIN and the highly successful SECONDHAND LIONS, which he also directed.


Elizabeth Avellán – Producer

Elizabeth Avellán's prominent and prolific career in the industry has earned her a leading position among film producers, and for good reason. Her family film producing credits include the SPY KIDS series, THE ADVENTURES OF SHARK BOY AND LAVA GIRL, and SHORTS. Elizabeth co-owns Troublemaker Studios with cult filmmaker Robert Rodríguez. Troublemaker's movies have been
reported to have made more than $900 million at the box office and hundreds of millions more in DVD and video sales. Most recently Elizabeth produced PREDATORS, MACHETE and SPY KIDS 4: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD.


Fred Miller - Producer

Fred Miller is a veteran media producer whose credits range from developing motion pictures with John Heyman at World Productions to multiple award winning educational videos for The Trevor Romain Company. The Trevor Romain shows are distributed to schools worldwide and seen on PBS.
Fred was Executive Producer on Al Reinert's acclaimed documentary FOR ALL MANKIND. He also served as Distributor for the Academy Award® nominated and Sundance Grand Prize winning film.
Fred's company Texas Motion Picture Investments provided partial structured financing for the Paramount and Warner Brothers films URBAN COWBOY, HONEYSUCKLE ROSE, TAPS, and SUPERMAN II, among others. Fred is a guest lecturer at Baylor University and enjoys mentoring young producers and creating content that is evergreen and inspiring.


Shannon McIntosh – Producer

Recognized by ShoWest as a “Digital Cinema Pioneer,” Shannon McIntosh has been a key player in the entertainment industry, overseeing production, post-production and programming for both The Weinstein Company (TWC) and Miramax Films. Shannon was instrumental in the successful Academy Award campaigns for all TWC and Miramax films, including INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, CHICAGO, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE and THE ENGLISH PATIENT. Shannon has been a leader in digital cinema, having brought to the screen the first digital theatrical exhibition—AN IDEAL HUSBAND and she was the Executive Producer of DJANGO UNCHAINED.


Lou Berney – Screenwriter

Lou Berney's short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and journals, including The New Yorker, Ploughshares, and The New England Review. His short story "Stupid Girl" was awarded a prestigious Pushcart Prize. Lou has developed projects for Warner Brothers, Twentieth Century Fox, and Jerry Bruckheimer. He has created drama pilots for ABC, and Fox. Focus Features purchased his feature script, TANGLED UP IN BLUE. In addition to WHEN ANGELS SING, Lou is currently writing a script for Castle Rock Entertainment and has written two novels WHIPLASH RIVER and GUNSHOT STRAIGHT.


Turk Pipkin – Co-Producer / Author

Turk Pipkin is the author of seven books, including the novel "Fast Greens", and is a contributing editor for Texas Monthly. He writes for magazines, television and films. He is best known as the award winning filmmaker of NOBELITY that chronicles the best minds in the world speaking insight to the greatest problems humankind faces. Turk's newest film ONE PEACE AT A TIME asks Nobel Prize
winners what we should be doing to solve many of our global crises.


Dominic Cancilla - Co-Producer

Dominic Cancilla is credited with over 21 films, ranging from studio hits to Sundance Festival independents. His most recent credits include HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION, a dark action comedy starring Mel Gibson, and MACHETE, starring Danny Trejo, Robert DeNiro, and Jessica Alba.


Chris Stull – Production Designer

Chris began his career in 1994 with the Blockbuster hit REALITY BITES. He went on to work on such favorites as RUSHMORE, MISS CONGENIALITY, and the SPY KIDS series, among others. Chris’ production design is showcased in the Robert Rodriguez film MACHETE as well as the indie film SKATELAND, which premiered at Sundance.


Randall Dark – Executive Producer

Randall Dark has worked exclusively in High Definition since 1986 and is considered one of the leading experts in the HD field. He has been involved in over 2000 HD projects including feature films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and live events. His HD programs have aired on Discovery
HD, INHD, WealthTV, PBS and HDNet. Randall is often the cover story for industry magazines as an innovator in both HD and 3D.
